- Cancellation Policy
- Customer-Initiated Cancellations:
- More than 30 days prior to the tour date: Full refund of the booking amount, minus a processing fee of 10%.
- Between 15 to 30 days prior to the tour date: 85% refund of the total booking amount.
- 6-14 days prior to tour date: 75% refund of the total booking amount.
- 2-5 days before tour date: 50% refund of the total booking amount.
- Less than 48 hours prior to the tour time: No refund will be issued.
- No-show on the tour date: No refunds will be issued.
Note: The above applies to only working days (Monday – Friday, excluding weekends and public holidays)
1.1 Notice of cancellation will only be effective when it is received by Email sent to on contact@mauritiusdiscoverytours.com, on working days Monday to Friday between 08h00 – 18h00 (weekends and public holidays are not considered). The date of which we receive the customer’s written notification of cancellation is the date we will use in order to calculate the appropriate cancellation charge.
1.2 These cancellation charges are calculated as a percentage of the Subtotal order amount for the product the customer would like to cancel. Where the cancellation charge is shown as a percentage, this is calculated on the basis of the total amount payable by the customer for the cancelled product.
- Company-Initiated Cancellations:
- In the unlikely event that Mauritius Discovery Tours cancels a tour due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, safety concerns, or other external factors), you will be given the option of:
- Rescheduling to another available date.
- Full Refund of the amount paid.

- Refund Policy
- Refunds will be processed within 10-15 business days from the date of cancellation.
- All refunds will be credited back to the original method of payment used during the booking.
- Processing fees or bank charges may apply depending on the payment gateway and will be deducted from the refundable amount.
- Amendments to Booking
- Changes in Dates:
- If you wish to change your tour date, a request must be made in writing at least 30 days prior to the scheduled tour. Rescheduling is subject to availability.
- Changes made less than 30 days prior may incur additional charges and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
- Changes in Tour Itinerary:
- Minor changes in the itinerary are allowed up to 15 days before the tour date, but may incur additional costs depending on the nature of the change.
- Major changes may be considered as cancellations and will follow the cancellation policy mentioned above.
- Refund Exceptions
- No refunds will be issued for partially completed tours or for unused services (e.g., skipped activities, missed transfers).
- Tours booked as part of special promotions or offers are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
- Force Majeure
- Mauritius Discovery Tours will not be held liable for cancellations, delays, or changes in your itinerary due to events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, political instability, pandemics, or extreme weather conditions. In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule the tour, but refunds will not be provided.
